Why do I appreciate Sassoon’s works?
I love Nicolas Sassoon’s art because it feels like I am looking at the patterns I could see in water, or in sediment rocks, and yet, it is totally digital in its very nature and texture. Sassoon’s work fuses digital, pixelated textures, atmospheric depth, and hypnotic patterning. His work evokes a dreamlike, virtual presence - completely immaterial. I can feel a sense of rhythm, as waves in the sand. The rhythmic, immersive quality of his visuals appeals to my aesthetic preferences for layered, atmospheric, and meditative abstraction.
