Sparrs – The space-faring God Hivemind
Period: 2011
Below are artworks of the second version (reimagining) of the Sparrs. The Sparrs a changeling, hivemind species inspired by Metroid Prime 2’s Ings and Metroid Fusion’s X Parasites. In my game, the Sparrs are usurping God across many cultures, using symbiotic parasiting of the human brain to manipulate humanity in giving them power. These drawings were done in 2011.
The Chosen One – Sacred Host of the Aetherionian Pneuma
Below are artworks of the first and second version (reimagining) of the Chosen One state. The Chosen One state catalyzes the power of the primordial seed of God (Aetherionian Pneuma) to transform its host into a form of pure energy that can manipulate energy around it at will.
The Chosen One – First Version
Period: 2007
This is the very first design of the Chosen One – translated to Pixel Art using paint in 2007. Below you can see the original scan, the line art, the base color version, and finally the shadowed version.
Percival – The Hero worthy of the Chosen One
Period: 2008
This is the design for Percival, the main character. His design is heavily inspired from the Matrix. Percival is the last generation of a lineage of Templars protecting the sacred sanctum holding the Orb that can bestow the powers of the Chosen One. In this artwork, we can see Percival in an action pose with the “Eye of Sauron” – the watchful eye of the Evil Orb, behind him. This specific artwork was designed to be promotional material for a forum I designed specifically for the game, using the ForumActif platform back before social media was a thing. I’ve included the Orbs artwork (evil, chosen one, divine) to the right for reference.
The Conquest of Heaven
Period: 2008
One of the late game missions on the Evil alignment was to invade heaven (the stronghold of the Sparrs) with the help of a commando of Kraints (the species representing Evil/Lucifer). This is a sketch of this mission.
The Chosen One – Second Version
Period: 2011
This revamped design integrates element of death and horror to signify the immense power and responsibility the Chosen One has.
Instead of completely converting the host’s body to pure energy, the skeletal structure remains and is animated by the force of the Aetherionian Pneuma.
