A sample gallery of pixel art done for the demo of Celestial Power
Note that the images have been zoomed (monitor resolution was a lot lower back then). For a crisper look, open using Right-click > Open image in new tab to have the original size.
Character Sets (Charsets)
In RPG Maker XP, all character assets are using standard 4-frame animations. Below are samples of different character models that were made (and some used) in the playable demo.
Description (from left): Column 1: Percival (main character) Column 2: Percival (later in the game) Column 3: two federal agent models, Drake (rival, antagonist) with various levels of corruption, the father of the main character Column 4: Inca citizens, shamans, and the meteorite containing the Orb of the Chosen One; then the Chosen One, the Orbs, and the Alkarev Guardian of the Orb.
Tilesets
RPG Maker XP comes with its own library of pixel art tilesets, and back then the community was also pretty active, limiting the need to build all assets manually.
These are two tilesets I designed for the Prologue playable demo, including the Sacred Sanctum of The Orb, and the house of the protagonist.
